How pricing works

Our pricing is deliberately simple, and you see all of it before you pay.

What an owner pays

Two things:

• The contractor's price — their rate for the job.
• The platform fee — a percentage on top, paid by the owner.

Both are itemised on the booking form and on the secure payment page before you confirm. There is nothing added afterwards.

What the contractor receives

All of their price. Nothing is deducted from what a contractor charges. The platform fee is separate and paid by the owner, so a contractor quoting $200 receives $200.

What the fee covers

Secure card payments, verifying every contractor and re-checking them each year, holding payment until the work is confirmed, and support when something goes wrong.

Contractors pay a membership

Contractors pay a monthly membership to be listed rather than a commission on each job. See Membership plans.
