How to book a pro

Booking takes a few minutes and confirms instantly. There is no waiting for a contractor to accept.

Before you start

You will need an account, and it helps to have added your property first — the address, number of bedrooms and bathrooms, and whether there is a pool or garden. We use those details to estimate how long a job will take, so the price you see is realistic rather than a guess.

The steps

• 1.Go to Find a pro and filter by service and parish.
• 2.Open a profile to see their rates, services, reviews and the areas they cover.
• 3.Choose Book this pro, then pick the service and a start date from their live calendar. Only dates they are genuinely free are selectable.
• 4.Choose the property, or type a one-off address.
• 5.Check the price breakdown — the contractor's price, the platform fee, and the total.
• 6.Pay by card. The booking is confirmed the moment the payment clears.

What happens next

Your contractor is notified immediately and those dates are locked in their calendar, so nobody else can book them. You will get a confirmation email with the reference number and the date your free-cancellation window closes.
